Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) is recruiting for Director of Ultrasound Education to oversee development, delivery and enhancement of EVMS ultrasound education programs. Though this is the primary role, there is anticipation the Director of Ultrasound Education will play an important role in faculty development, assisting/advising the expansion of ultrasound education across health professions as well as partnering with GME offices and clinical coordinators to vertically and horizontally integrate ultrasound education. This is a full-time education position and has no required clinical component.
A successful candidate should have minimum of five years of ultrasound (US) experience. Preference will be given to M.D. or D.O. candidates with clinical point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) experience and those with prior experience administering or developing an ultrasound education program.
Applicants must have a Doctorate of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in Ultrasound Education curriculum development is highly desirable.
