Ophthalmic Technician, Ambulatory setting, NY, NY

You Will:

• Perform specific technical ophthalmologic diagnostic procedures and tests under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or the attending ophthalmologist. Tests include visual acuity, fundus photography, OCT scans, visual field testing,slit lamp photography, ultrasound and UBM scans
• You will also carry out additional activities necessary to provide for the personal needs, comfort and safety of patients and their families
• Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment and orient patients and families to the clinical area

You Have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education
• Minimum of 1 fullyear of recent experience with ophthalmic proceduresand ability to perform basic math functions required
• COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) preferred
• Excellent communication and Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• BCLS Certification

Hours: Vary Flexed between 6:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (Monday Friday)
