M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. We provide a broad range of pediatric programs from surgery, imaging and neonatal and pediatric intensive care to cardiac and oncology (cancer care) services and blood and marrow and organ transplantation.
Our clinical staff apply innovative approaches to creating medical breakthroughs based their work with patients and on findings through research at the University of Minnesota. This has led to several firsts, including the first successful pediatric blood marrow transplant, infant heart transplant in Minnesota and cochlear ear implant surgery for a child.

This position will be working 60 hours every two weeks.
This position will be working on the rotating day/night shift.
12 hour shifts, every third weekend.

12 beds, works closely with CVICU on same floor.
Pediatric patients (newborns to young adults).
Medical and Surgical Patients, including
Transplant (solid organ, blood and marrow, auto-islet, kidney, liver)
Neurology and Neurosurgery
Pulmonary and ENT
Provides care to pediatric patients requiring close observation and advanced monitoring, using current technology.
Manages complex medication and infusion therapies (RNs are PALS certified).
Care for patient undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on unit.
Care delivery team: RNs and NSTs. RNs with 1-2 patients.
Provides care to critically ill, trauma and transplant (solid organ and BMT) pediatric patients and those pediatric patients who require close observation and monitoring.
Safely employs (sets-up, utilizes and trouble shoots) the following monitoring devices:
Invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic
Manages complex medication and infusion therapies
Care for patient undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit.
MN RN licensure and BLS
One year of RN experience in a pediatric critical care setting OR a preceptorship/capstone/internship of 120+ hours in a pediatric ICU setting.
Certification in related specialty is highly desired.
