The Cytotechnologist is a team player in anatomic pathology who participates in all cytology procedures & examinations, evaluating both GYN & Non-GYN cytologic material. Assists with specimen collection and preparation obtained by invasive procedures like CT-guided, ultrasound-guided, or endoscopic brushings or fine needle aspiration. Performs & provides guidance to histology technicians in the processing of a variety of cytological specimens. Maintains records & prepares summary reports.
