Radiochemist, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Psychiatry, Research-PET, 60051
Stony Brook University has just completed construction of a brand new, state-of-the-art Research PET Imaging facility. The facility includes a new GE PETtrace cyclotron, a cGMP compliant radiotracer production laboratory and a tracer development laboratory with 4 clinical and 3 research hot cells equipped with GE and Tracer Maker automated synthesis modules, 3 PET camera bays, an MiE Scintronic PET scanner, Siemens mMR hybrid PET/MRI, and a Siemens Inveon microPET. Independently we have a separate cGPM compliant F-18 tracer production laboratory. There are over $20 million in PET related grants support from a variety of investigators in multiple departments. There are also 7 radiochemists developing radiotracers for neurology, psychiatry, infectious disease, and oncology. We are looking for a radiochemist who will develop the next generation of novel radiotracers. This is a faculty tenure eligible position with direct support of salary, a generous start-up package, and a newly renovated dedicated laboratory space in the Department of Chemistry.
