Performs and measures cardiac ultrasound tests as ordered by physicians, according to established standards and practices. Assists with cardiac diagnostic procedures. To effectively carry out medical prescription for all non-invasive cardiology procedures offered by the Cardiology Department.Performs other duties as requested. Reports to Director/ Supervisor of Cardiopulmonary.
Possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to provide cardiology diagnostic procedures to the age of the patients served. Good clinical judgment and problem solving abilities.Possesses communication skills both verbal and written in English. Satisfactory completion of an echocardiography course.Registered/Certified by ARDMS or CCI. Three yearsï¿½ experience in non-invasive cardiology and two yearsï¿½ experience in echocardiography, cardiac doppler and color flow.
