The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health (OBGYN & WH) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore is expanding and is seeking two early to mid-career MFMs with solid clinical and academic experience.
The first position is for a dynamic Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Specialist with solid clinical and academic experience to join the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division within one of the largest OBYN & WH departments in the country. The Division provides a wide range of high risk reproductive care services, manages a 24/7 labor & delivery service across two hospitals and provides fetal medicine ultrasound diagnostic services. The selected MFM physician will be responsible for direct patient care in Maternal Fetal Medicine consultation, working closely with highly trained Generalist partners throughout the prenatal and post-partum periods and will take primary responsibility for patients with significant co-morbidities. He/She will have experience and expertise in fetal medicine/ultrasound preferably from an AIUM certified facility; and have a strong aptitude for, and commitment to, high risk, complex labor and delivery clinical services.
The second MFM Specialist will join the Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound Division. Responsibilities include overseeing and performing high level ultrasounds, fetal echocardiographies and prenatal diagnostic procedures as well as direct patient care in Fetal Medicine consultation, working closely with a myriad of sub-specialties. The Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician participates and performs in-utero fetal therapy procedures. Candidates will have prior experience and expertise in fetal surgery, as this position will participate in rotational coverage of the ante-partum high risk services.
The successful candidates must possess an MD, have completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and be Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine. The candidate must have obtained ABOG Board Certification in General OB/GYN and be able to obtain a New York Medical License. Practice experience of at least three years is preferred.
The College and Montefiore Medical Center facilities are within reasonable commuting distance either by car or mass transit, from Manhattan; current faculty commute from communities in New Jersey, Connecticut, Manhattan, Westchester and Bronx Counties.
